As a permanent resident, the easiest way to move to Canada is through the new Express Entry program. The immigration management program is conducted entirely online, making the process of Canadian immigration highly effective for qualified applicants from all over the world. Most of Canada's PR requests will be handled within six months or less.
Express Canada Entry
The program requires applicants to create an online profile containing all their credentials in order for Canada to determine the eligibility of a prospective immigrant for Express Entry.Once the applicant has developed an Express Entry Profile and has been accepted into the system, the prospective immigrant profile will be put in a pool with other applicants and potential employers and provincial nominee services will then be able to compare the different applications.
If a qualified employer or PNP chooses an applicant from the Express Entry list, then he or she will earn 600 CRS points for the enhanced provincial nomination or up to 200 points for the qualifying job offer. Then there are official Express Entry sketches in which top candidates are invited to apply for residency in Canada (ITA).
For participate in the Canadian Express Entry immigration system, all of the Express Entry conditions, including the requirements of one or more of Canada's economic immigration programs, must be met. If you don't meet the requirements of Express Entry, you won't be accepted into the candidate pool of the system.
How do I validate an Express Entry Provincial Nomination?
If you have already been nominated by a province or territory under their Express Entry process, the nomination must be added to your Express Entry account to earn the additional Canadian immigration points. Follow these instructions in order to do so.Confirming a PNP nomination:
- Open your Express Entry profile
- Go to “application details” and then the “nomination and selection” section
- Where it asks if you have a Canada PNP Express Entry nomination, change your answer to “yes”
- Use the drop-down menu to choose the province or territory that has nominated you
- Submit your updated profile
- Contact the province directly, outside of Express Entry, and provide them with your Job Seeker Validation Code and Express Entry profile number
- The province will then use this information to confirm the Canada PNP nomination with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Once confirmed, you will receive a MyCIC message regarding the nomination.
- Click “accept” at the top, and you will be instantly awarded 600 Express Entry points on your CRS immigration score. You have 30 days to accept a PNP Canada nomination in Express Entry before it officially expires.
You will receive a confirmation letter in PDF format in your MyCIC account once you have accepted the nomination of the Canadian Province Nominee Program. You will also receive a copy of your nomination certificate. Please note that provincial nominations obtained through the conventional paper-based system, known as base nominations, can not be processed through Express Entry
